SISCM provides a highly integrated, multi-sensor threat warning and countermeasures capability. This low-risk approach utilizes off-the-shelf technology, provides enhanced threat warning and countermeasures, and fuses data from aircraft sensors/systems (INS/GPS/radar, etc.). SISCM is controlled via the APR-39B(V)2 Electronic Warfare Management System (EWMS), integrating all situation awareness and self-protection subsystems into one coordinated suite.
