The building will serve as the new home of the company's Advanced Concepts & Technologies (AC&T) Division engaged in advanced technology development.
From design and development through proof-of-concept and production readiness, engineers and scientists at the company create the groundbreaking electronic technologies that will eventually transition into full-scale production programs within other divisions of the Electronic Systems sector.
The new office facility features several uniquely-configured collaboration areas where small to medium-size teams of employees can work together on various advanced technology development projects, a 175-seat conference center, an employee fitness center, and an Internet Café, where employees can gather together in an informal setting to discuss particular projects and activities.
Designed to be energy-efficient and environmentally-friendly, the building has received the nationally-recognized Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) certification. Continue reading>
About AC&T
The Advanced Concepts and Technologies division provides the most advanced research and development within Electronic Systems. The division's accomplishments include the renowned development of state-of-the-art sensors for manned and unmanned air platforms.
The division maintains a strong focus on developing affordable, lightweight systems that enhance the war fighter's combat capabilities and constantly seeks to explore new technologies that bridge capability gaps. These systems include:
- High resolution synthetic aperture radar (SAR) with maritime and overland modes
- Multi-integrated sensor suites
- EO/IR sensors
- Sensor self/cross cueing
- Automatic target recognition capabilities
