German Operations: Northrop Grumman LITEF
Residing in Freiburg, Germany, Northrop Grumman LITEF is a Northrop Grumman subsidiary reporting to the Navigation Systems Division.
Northrop Grumman LITEF's business focuses on inertial sensors, inertial reference and navigation systems, and related computers with customers in over 30 countries. Our German subsidiary provides its customers with extensive repair and overhaul capabilities. To ensure the highest standards of quality, Northrop Grumman LITEF is ISO 9001, AQAP 110/150, JAR 21 and JAR 145 certified.
Northrop Grumman LITEF is one of the largest suppliers of avionics equipment for military aircraft in Europe. Key programs include the Tornado F3 and Eurofighter Typhoon fixed wing aircraft, the Tiger attack helicopter and the NH-90 transport helicopter.

Italian Operations: Northrop Grumman Italia
Our Italian facility is located in Pomezia, a short 30 minute drive from the Rome airports of Fiumicino and Ciampino. It features engineering design, development and manufacturing capabilities and is recognized as an industry leader for designing and manufacturing precision equipment using the latest state-of-the-art fiber-optic and laser gyro technology. This ISO 9001-certified unit of Navigation Systems Division specializes in Inertial Navigation Systems and Altitude and Heading Reference Systems for air, land and sea.
Northrop Grumman Italia's primary customers are Alenia, the Italian Ministry of Defense, and various international systems integrators. They develop products for the Eurofighter and have a strong reputation for customer satisfaction after having successfully delivered thousands of inertial systems world-wide.
