ES places importance on building a culture of learning where management is committed to employees developing to their fullest capability, challenging employees with appropriate opportunities, and ensuring employees accept development as their responsibility.

Career Development
We have a Career Center available to all employees with career consultants on hand to help you with whatever development needs you may have. Also available are a career development website, career planning workshops, and an online mentoring match system.
The Careers Database, a posting system that gives our employees internal access to career and mobility opportunities, provides an easy searchable method for finding new possibilities while staying within the organization.
Leadership Development
Lead1NG – anyone, anywhere, anytime. We believe anyone can lead at anytime in any part of the organization and strive to develop our employees in that regard. We offer programs and resources for employees at every level in the organization. Some examples include a Leadership Training Program for newer employees as well as mid career employees that takes participants on a leadership journey for 14 to 18 months depending on the program. For our formal leaders, we offer both required and optional curricula at every level. We also offer targeted development for program managers including a Program Manager Forum and a specific curriculum focused on a variety of skill sets. It doesn’t matter what stage an employee is in their career; we have something for everyone.
Education Assistance Program
We have an extensive education assistance program that covers tuition and fee expenses as well as book costs for approved, relevant degree/certificate programs and/or courses. One distinguishing benefit of our program is that it allows participants to receive an electronic credit card number to pay for expenses upfront as opposed to putting out their own money first and getting reimbursed later.
Annual Performance and Appraisal System (PAS)
We have an annual performance and appraisal system (PAS) that provides a structure for employees and their managers to discuss goals and objectives, strengths and development plans. Employees can map a variety of development options to their PAS goals to help focus their efforts.
Ongoing Development
We offer customized training and development opportunities for all employees and organizations. These options include technical training for engineers, curriculum for newly appointed managers and targeted initiatives for program managers. In addition, employees have access to instructor-led and e-learning courses to support their individual development needs.
