New Graduate Leadership Training Program

After completing a minimum of one PDP assignment, or at least six months as a new graduate direct placement employee, new hires with less than two years ofrelevant work experience are eligible to apply to the New Graduate Leadership Training Program (LTP). The LTP is an 18 month experiential learning program, formalized in a Foundations of Leadership Course curriculum, designed to supplement the technical growth of new graduates with training and experiences outside of the normal work day regime in conjunction with several opportunities to participate in and lead community service projects.
The Leadership Training Program is designed to enhance the leadership capabilities of new graduates in Engineering & Manufacturing and Business Management disciplines by taking an aggressive, multi-pronged developmental approach. This approach includes "stretch assignments" with additional cost & schedule responsibilities, participation in community service and internal volunteer activities, as well as specific training in a leadership development curriculum. The Leadership Training Program also includes extended weekend retreats to a rustic location in western Maryland.
The Leadership Training Program offers opportunities in self discovery, team dynamics, mentoring and networking. Participants in the Leadership Training Program will also gain insight into leadership and management at Northrop Grumman as the program prepares them for engineering, business, program or functional management as well as technical leadership positions.
