S.B., Business Management
I was initially attracted to Northrop Grumman because of the interaction I would have with engineers. I had been in a joint Business-Engineering program in college, and I really enjoyed the idea of being able to work on a cross-functional team. I also liked Northrop Grumman because of its presence in international business.
Through the Professional Development Program, I was able to rotate through 2 different departments (Contracts Management and International Accounting) before settling into my permanent position. I really appreciated that as a non-finance person, I was still able to get some finance and accounting experience through my assignment in International Accounting without having to commit to a one or two year position. I am now a Contracts Representative focusing on all of the Export Licensing for two multi-million dollar programs as well as several marketing efforts. I really enjoy what I do because I get to interact with a wide variety of organizations. I work on a regular basis with not only the program office but also the technical leads, Business Development, Export Management and Security. I enjoy the variety in my work and all of the challenges that I face. There is a never a quiet day!
