REAACH Key Program Elements
- Engineers will be teamed with a math/science/ technology teacher for the 2009-2010 school year for ongoing classroom support
- Direct-charge engineers will be provided with a charge number to offset some of their personal time invested in REAACH. (Four-six hours a month will be eligible for interdepartmental charging during the pilot.)
- Active and retired engineers will attend twelve hours of instruction (two-hours of classroom instruction per week), plus classroom visits that will provide a program overview and preparation for classroom readiness. The course will be taught by Johns Hopkins University and will be eligible for Education Assistance.
