Northrop Grumman Cobham Intercoms (NGCI) LLC, a company formed by Northrop Grumman Corporation and Cobham today announced the reinstatement of work under the Vehicular Intercommunication System Expanded (VIS-X) contract for the U.S. Army. Work performed under the contract will be managed by the Assistant Project Manager, Vehicular Intercom Systems (APM VIS), which is part of the Defense Communications and Army Transmission Systems (Team DCATS) Project Office of the Program Executive Office, Enterprise Information Systems (PEO EIS). VIS-X will provide vehicle crew members and occupants with improved speech intelligibility and hearing protection.

Northrop Grumman's Long Island Employees Spend Day Making Gifts, Good Wishes and Lots of Applause for Military

In the morning, over 150 employees and family members teamed up at the company's facility here to pack toiletries, games, snacks phone cards and other items into gift packages for service members worldwide as part of their second annual USO Care Package Stuffing Party. That night, Northrop Grumman hosted over 100 local servicemen and women and some 400 employees and family members at Long Island's Nassau Coliseum for the New York Islanders and the USO at Military Appreciation Night.

Northrop Grumman Corporation has been awarded a contract by Saab Aerosystems to deliver Attitude and Heading Reference Systems (AHRS) for the NEURON European unmanned combat aerial vehicle (UCAV) demonstrator. The LCR-100 AHRS units will be built by the company's German navigation systems subsidiary, Northrop Grumman LITEF.

Northrop Grumman Corporation's (NYSE:NOC) milli-Hemispherical Resonator Gyroscope (mHRG)-based precision pointing concept has been selected by the U.S. Army Night Vision and Electronic Sensors Directorate (NVESD) for exploration under the Far Target Location Improvement Program Broad Agency Announcement.
Under this contract, Northrop Grumman will develop a lightweight, low-power precision pointing technology demonstrator providing improved target accuracy and performance over currently fielded Far Target Locators. Precision target location reduces collateral damage in the field by improving the accuracy of munitions delivery.

Northrop Grumman Supplies Integrated Bridge System for New Baglietto Megayacht

The new megayacht Ancora, which recently made its debut from Italy's Baglietto shipyard in La Spezia, has been fitted with a state-of-the-art integrated bridge system (IBS) supplied by Northrop Grumman. The bridge electronics suite is based on Sperry Marine's VisionMaster FT(TM) technology and features an array of TotalWatch(TM) multi-function workstations for controlling the ship's radars, electronic chart system, closed-circuit TV, machinery monitoring and conning displays. The package also includes a gyrocompass, autopilot, steering system and other navigation subsystems and sensors.
