Ethics Audit Kicks Off (Excerpt from August 1999 Circuit)

Internal Audit will conduct a review of ES3's Ethics program during August. The review, which includes employee surveys, is an annual corporate requirement. Information obtained as a result of the review is used to improve ethics training and OpenLine processes.

Sector information is merged at the corporate level. As a signatory to the Defense Industry Initiative on Ethics and Conduct, Northrop Grumman has committed itself to public accountability. The mechanism for public accountability presently requires that the company complete an 18-point questionnaire regarding ethics policies, procedures, and programs in order to demonstrate compliance with codes of ethics.

Surveys are being sent via e-mail to a random sampling of sector employees by the audit department; employees are requested to complete and return the survey during August. Any employee wishing to participate in the review process can do so by contacting John White, Internal Audit, at (410) 765-7671.
