AN/APR-39 Radar Warning Receiver (RWR)
Be the hunter, not the prey
The electronic battlefield becomes more complex every day, dominated by an array of multispectral (RF/IR/EO) threats that jeopardize aircrew survival. To survive, aircrews must not only have sophisticated sensors and countermeasures, but a way to manage them as well.
APR-39A(V)2 Threat Warning System
The APR-39A(V)2 is used by the US Army and US Marine Corps Helos and Fixed Wing aircraft. In addition to threat warning, it acts as a control for the EW survivability suite. It is integrated with the laser warning receiver and missile warner.
This low cost system provides state-of-the-art technology combining lightweight and low power consumption. The APR-39A(V)2's highly sensitive, multireceiver architecture provides rapid identification and continuous 360º threat warning for today’s complex battlefield.
APR-39B(V)2 Radar Warning Receiver/Electronic Warfare Management System
The APR-39B(V)2 RWR provides continuous 360º coverage to automatically detect and identify threat types, bearing and lethality, then alerts the crew to each threat with a graphical symbol on the cockpit multifunction display (MFD) or video display. The system also gives the aircrew synthetic speech audio threat warnings.
The APR-39B(V)2 also functions as an EWMS, serving as the heart of Northrop Grumman's Suite of Integrated Sensors and Countermeasures (SISCM), which integrates and displays data from onboard sensors (RF/IR/EO).
