As the original equipment manufacturer of commercial nuclear I&C equipment, P/CS has a long heritage of design, manufacture, and support of safety and non safety monitoring and control equipment. For over three decades, our engineers have designed and supported NSSS equipment. Since 1996 our product line has focused solely on equipment for the Nuclear Navy. Much like the commercial nuclear industry, the Nuclear Navy experiences obsolescence and supportability issues. In concert with the Nuclear Navy, P/CS’s more than 50 Nuclear I&C engineers have engaged key strategies to successfully address supportability issues. These same strategies can be utilized and applied to the legacy commercial nuclear I&C equipment. Our core engineering knowledge along with a well established product baseline will enable a sound solution to equipment that is approaching the end of its supportable life.
