Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS)
The Theater Ballistic Missile (TBM) threat continues to grow as more countries obtain ballistic missiles. Countering this threat requires an advanced missile early warning and cueing system. To meet this need, the Joint Tactical Ground Station (JTAGS) was developed and fielded.
JTAGS receives, processes and facilitates direct downloading of data from space-based sensors. It calculates estimated launch point, missile trajectory and projected ground impact point and time of impact. JTAGS ensures timely delivery of critical missile warning and cueing data.
